1K…The Hard Way

A big thanks to my followers for helping me reach this mountain

The journey to the top of the 1K mountain was a long one

One that seemed out of reach for an eternity

Snowstorms and strong winds made it hard for me to see

The goal post that awaited thee

Yet, something kept me striving

A relentless will that refuses to die kept me driving

A growing crowd on the ground below

Kept chanting ‘’go’’

Like Rocky, I get stronger

The stamina within lasts a lot longer

My eyes can see the 1K flag

That flag is the equivalent of getting the bag

I’m right there

But this climb gives me a big scare

So close to victory

I have to find the strength to believe

And to believe that I can achieve

this long jump

Count to one..two..three and fly

The 1K flag is grabbed

but my feet remain in the air

and aim towards the clouds
