A YouTube Video Showed Me A Different View On The Atomic Bombs Being Used On Hiroshima And Nagasaki?
This topic will never go away
It’s amazing how time can give us a different perspective on a subject than what we had in the past.
When we’re kids, life & the world seems so simple. As we progress out of the kid stage, the complexities of life slowly begin to emerge to us.
The world starts to make less sense. An event (or events) in our lives exposes us to the nasty side of human nature. We notice that certain things don’t seem right in the world.
We may not be able to articulate it through words, but we can feel it deep in our bones.
Sometimes I believe this is what certain people mean when it comes to ‘’being woke’’. If so, everyone is (or will) become woke. Once we become woke, there’s no going back.
Until my early 20s, I only had America’s perspective on using the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. I loved reading about World War II in 5th grade because it was like watching an action movie.
I thought Franklin Roosevelt, ordered the atomic bombs to drop on Hiroshima and Nagasaki — because I saw his face A LOT when I was reading that part of history.
