Cambridge, Maryland Had A Colonial Feel To It

Another cruise ship tale

Cambridge, Maryland was the third place I went to during my cruise ship experience for four months in 2018. At the time, my head was still spinning trying to get used to this new world I was in and learning my job on the American Constitution ship.

The ship would always make a rumbling noise when it was time to dock in a new area and the noise would stop when we were connected to the land.

The new place we were in looked exciting to me.

As a steward, I had to clean the rooms that I needed to clean before I was free to go on break. When my supervisor gave us the okay to go on break, I was ready to see Cambridge, Maryland.

Surprisingly, a lot of my co-workers stay on board the ship. They never got off to check out Cambridge. Not me. I wanted to see what was around me and get some much-needed fresh air in the afternoon and later at night after my shift was done for today.

I wasn’t used to living on a ship yet.

Fresh air again. Photo by author.
