Freezing In The Dark

It’s freezing inside this apartment in the dark.

Whoever made that power grid that caused this badly missed the mark.

I have to hide under these blankets to keep warm.

Hopefully, the power being off won’t be the norm.

It’s hard to heat up a meal.

When you don’t know how much time you have to steal.

It’s 16 degrees outside.

Texas is gonna need heat soon to turn this tide.

Seeing the snow the day before was fun.

Alright, I’m done.

If life could decide to return to a sample of comfort again, that would be great.

Or have Covid-19 and the other unknown events sealed our future fate?

I’m hoping not.
