These melodies would keep me full
After reading Lisa Osborne’s fun article on eight songs she would listen to if she was on a deserted island on Thursday. I immediately tried to come up with my own list. My mind went blank. No musical choices were coming to my head. After a few more minutes of nothingness in my head, I gave that challenge a rest.
As I was traveling to Corpus Christi yesterday and listening to my playlist, songs started to come to me. ‘’Oh yeah, that song and this song’’. And then before I knew it, I had my list thanks to SoundCloud and YouTube! They always save the day!
These are the 8 songs that would make me feel at home if I was on a deserted island.
1. Change by Barry White
I discovered this song about a month ago by accident, and I’m so glad I did. I can't get enough of it! I listen to it at work. So, it’ll definitely be one of my choices on a deserted island. It’s so uplifting with great background vocals telling the listener ‘’You can do it, she can do it, he can do it’’. I’ve never heard Barry sing this high before. I’m so used to hearing that deep baritone voice. His voice range is incredible.
