My Everlasting Fear Of Heights
This morning, I went on the Linkedin site just to see if I had any new notifications — since I rarely go there, and I stumbled on a short video clip of this man, who’s the crown prince of Dubai named HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (That’s a long name! Writing that took a lot out of me).
He was at the top of (what looked like) a carnival ride way up in the air. He looked so calm and without a care in the world drinking his drink.
I’m just amazed at how he had the nerves to record himself being way up high in the sky in Dubai.
If I was in his position, I’m shaking from my head to my feet barely able to hold my phone in my hand. Then I lose my footing on the carnival and fall to a gruesome demise — because my fear of heights overtook me.
I really admire people that are fearless when it comes to being way up in the air. Like actor Tom Cruise for example. In recent years, I learned that he did some incredible stunts in his Mission Impossible movies.
