Rent Day
Today is the great day that tenants dread.
You rather keep your hard-earned money instead.
Not enough days to enjoy the pay we got in our bank account.
Personally, I don’t want to see the remaining amount.
That’s left from paying the rent online.
The rent is so high, it makes me want to whine.
The Land Demon must be very happy.
As she continues to make bizarre changes in this apartment complex, it makes me snappy.
I’m still waiting for the work order I sent in months ago to be taking care of.
I’ve been living here for seven years now, where’s the love?
It would be nice to not feel disposable just once.
Maybe I need to pull an extreme stunt.
At the same time, the power of Covid-19 can not be downplayed.
But back on the main subject, I wish the money I paid for rent stayed.
Just a little longer so I could spend it on other things.
Like food, ink for the printer, or some wings.
So I could fly away from all of this.
