Seasickness On The American Constitution Ship

It was the worst!

For a long time, I thought being land sick was the worst. It wasn’t until I had the dreadful experience of being seasick on a cruise ship from American Cruise Lines six years ago (I can’t believe it’s been that long already).

The nightmare started when the American Constitution (the ship I was working on) left Boston, Massachusetts after dropping passengers off. Afterward, it was just us workers who remained on board.

I made the awful mistake of getting off the ship in Boston; because I saw a co-worker get off to get some food nearby. I later learned that the co-worker was a troublemaker. I went to a Dunkin Donuts (for the first time in my life) and got a sausage egg & cheese croissant and some orange juice.

Thankfully, I made it back in time with the food before the American Constitution took off to its next destination. I was so close to being left behind in Boston.

It gave me chills thinking about it a few days afterward.

Portland, Maine was our next destination.
