Sister Lu And The Black Church In Heaven
She got to be in that number in heaven
All Lu Skerdoo could see was darkness in her eyes, as she slept in a deep peaceful sleep in her bed with a smile on her face. Suddenly a dim light glowed in front of her face.
A being was making its way toward her in the light. The light would gradually get bigger until the darkness surrounding her completely disappeared.
Lu was awake again. She was amazed at the being that was in front of her. ‘’An angel?’’, she wondered. She looked around with her eyes.
The angel came toward Lu and held out his right wing at her. Lu felt alive but in a different way. She put her right hand out toward the smiling angel.
‘’It’s time to come home to heaven, Lu’’, said the angel peacefully.
The angel reminded her of a singer she loved. Lu had to ask the angel to calm her strong curiosity.
Are you Maurice White from Earth, Wind & Fire?’’, Lu asked. The angel laughed at Lu’s question. ‘’Haha no. I’m not Maurice’’, the angel answered. ‘’Has anyone told you you looked like him?’’, asked Lu.
The angel laughed as if he had heard this comparison a million times. ‘’Oh yes.’’, he answered.
