That's so sad. I thought all Europeans were welcoming of each other. I also thought Greece was far away from Bulgaria until I look it up one day and was amazed by the closeness of the two countries.

I feel for those parents who are alone and don't get to see their kids much. I hope you and your kids remain close. Your piece is an eye-opener into the struggles of being a Bulgarian (And Eastern European). :)
