Overthink= to think too much about (something) : to put too much time into thinking about or analyzing (something) in a way that is more harmful than helpful

-Merriam Webster Dictionary

You weren’t always an overthinker. There was a time when you could make decisions without playing mind games in your head. Those were the good old days. Life was so much better & peaceful. They seem so long ago now.

Negative experiences in your past (a crush, family issues, school life & others) have caused you to walk on eggshells in your mind. Those experiences were so painful & overwhelming that they made you start to think twice about opportunities that contained a lot of risks.

So if you detect any source of potential pain from those opportunities, you run for the hills to avoid a repeat of experiencing your past hurts. Who could blame you for that? Rejection brings a whirlwind of emotions that can be hard to cope with until the pain finally goes away.

Although you’re working your way back to your pre-Overthinking days, it’s a hard road…
