The Slap That Took Over The World
Wow.
I’ve been itching to touch on this Will Smith/Chris Rock incident all day long. It was torture that I couldn’t type about it, while I was at work. The news about it is everywhere. In the workplace, on every major news network & on the internet.
I almost called in today, because I was afraid that Will Smith might be outside my apartment building, and try to slap me too. How the news of this took over the internet, and every news source is wild to me.
Not since NBA player Kyrie Irving made his infamous “the earth is flat” comment a couple of years ago, have I seen anything go viral this fast on YouTube & social media.
I didn’t think I would ever see anything that would top that firestorm. Kyrie’s words spread like a wildfire. I mean an endless stream of YouTube videos of scientists & heavy studiers of science (who didn’t look like NBA fans), giving their take on Kyrie’s comment about the earth being flat. It’s the wildest thing I had ever seen…until now.
I saw both Will Smith & Chris Rock's names in a YouTube chatbox by a user — but didn’t think anything of it. I thought maybe Will Smith and Chris Rock did a skit together at the Oscars or something — since I knew Will was nominated for the best actor Oscar for King Richard.
