The Ten Word Story Challenge
Here goes!
Thanks to Amanda Laughtland (who was tagged by Lo Everlasting) for tagging me in her article, to be a part of the ten-word story challenge, that was started by Sheri Jacobs!
The ten-word story challenge is about telling a story in ten words. Your story (or stories) can be fiction or non-fiction. This exercise made my brain work! The big challenge for me was getting twelve-word stories into ten-word stories. Doing this gave me that feeling I used to get when I did word puzzles or played the game Words With Friends.
Amanda wrote that this could be a great prompt to use as a warm-up, and I agree 100%. Trying to write a ten-word story is a GREAT idea — when we have writer’s block and we need something to get our writing engines going.
After playing around with words and sentences for almost an hour, these are the few short stories I came up with.
