Tis The Season Of Income Tax
Time to collect.
Income Tax time is here, and if you’re like me, you’re so happy that it is.
Some of you may have already done your taxes and just waiting for them to show up in your bank account or in your mailbox (depending on what option you chose).
For others (like myself), you’re working on your income tax right now or are waiting to make sure you have all the documents you need before filing online or at a tax place near you.
I usually wait until February 1 to do my taxes online with TurboTax. I’ve been using TurboTax since my close friend (a mother figure to me) introduced me to it eight years ago.
Two years ago, I jumped the gun and filed a little earlier; because I thought I had every W2 & 1099 document I needed to proceed with filing for my income tax return.
A few weeks later, I get a letter from the IRS informing me that I needed to pay some tax money (it wasn’t too much thankfully) to them. So, with that tax cloud hanging over my head, I couldn’t enjoy my income tax until they collected their funds.
IRS: ‘’Ummm Gerald, it looks like we’re missing some tax money from you’’
