Hassan is sure that he saw… what he saw
‘’So, Mr. Bassel, how does it feel to win a month of living on a cruise ship with Norwegian Cruise Lines?’’ Asked the 36-year-old news reporter, Hassan Aasir.
‘’It feels great. It feels… great.’’ Mr. Bassel, the 70-year-old man answered. It feels like my hard work through the years has finally paid off.’’ He added.
Hassan Aasir had arrived in Egypt from Kenya three days ago to interview Mr. Bassel. He was used to doing lighthearted stories like Mr. Bassels while most of his colleagues covered heavy stories that dealt with war, poverty, and crime. This was on Hassan’s mind, while he did his job in front of Mr. Bassil’s small house— which wasn’t too far from the Al Salam Bridge.
Mr Bassil never thought he would be interviewed in his long life.
‘’So, what destinations would you like to go to?’’
‘’Eh, I would like to visit Scotland. It’s so beautiful from the pictures I see online. Also, I would like to see Greece, the Netherlands, Germany… all of Europe.
And, I would like to visit China, Asia, Malaysia, Australia…oh yeah, and Antarctica, the country where Genghis Khan came from, I want to see that one too.’’
