Water Man: Layla’s Gift
The gift that keeps making Wallace want more of it
12-year-old Wallace Basie was enjoying his time at Culler Lake, Maryland on a warm Friday with friendly fish that swam around him. It was his seventh time swimming at the calm lake.
The introverted Wallace felt free in this peaceful environment around nature, which recharged his spirits. He was also enjoying the goggles which made him feel like he had advanced vision.
Wallace kept swimming in the lake when he saw a small blue light far away from his destination. He thought it could be a stranger flashing their flashlight from shore.
He saw the light coming towards him at a blistering speed. The cheerful Wallace turned frightened at what was coming his way. The closer the object came, the more Wallace could see what it was.
When Wallace finally got a good look at the being that was about to charge into him he was shocked at what he was seeing. He saw blue skin with expressive eyes along with what looked like a blue bright sword on its right hip.
Before Wallace started jetting away, he felt both hands of the blue being on his right arm. A blue glow came over Wallace and remained for seconds before disappearing into nothingness.
