Several hours later, after eating Layla’s delicious apple pie, Wallace stood nearby where the Al Salam Bridge was before it collapsed two days ago.
He was wearing a black shirt, blue shorts, and flip-flops on his feet. Despite the tiny debris that remained from the Al Salam Bridge, Wallace admired the beauty before him and enjoyed the breeze of the water & little wind coming at him.
He stood, pondering what the water knight he saw there told him on the day the bridge came apart.
‘’I gave you a gift. That was never supposed to happen.’’
Wallace walked back and forth as the water nearby continued to sing its tune to the area. A married couple was walking in Wallace’s direction in their colorful Egyptian clothing. The couple looked to be at peace & was enjoying the pretty day in Egypt.
