Lisa Osborne told me about the 2021 book What Happened To You a few months ago. Her excitement about it made me want to check it out. So I got it on Amazon and started reading the book.
This book is a LONG read, so if you ever buy this book, make sure you get comfortable and give this book your undivided attention — before you start reading it — because this one feels like you’re reading a college book.
I had to read this book slowly — because the information in it hits you like a hurricane. So I wanted to get a really decent grasp on the things that Oprah and Dr. Perry were touching on. There are a lot of jewels in this book on Trauma, Resilience, Healing, and other things human beings go through, that I would reread sentences just to take it all in again.
