You’re a wonderful life

Yes you are

Like a shining star

In the solar system

But you were rarely told

Your plot hasn’t fold

Like it should

For you and me to see

How our lives had meaning

To other stars in our orbit

Whose light and pull blind us of our own

Those who were happy to have known…us

We must be reminded

When we’re in this headspace

That we have a place

At the table of life

And the delicious food

Is for you… too

The 1946 American Christmas movie, ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ inspired this poem.

I remember this movie would come on the NBC channel every year around Christmas when I was a kid (it may still come on TV). When it came on, I would always watch the beginning of the movie and then wander off to do something else, like play with my toys, play video games, sing Christmas songs with my family, etc.
